Knowledge Management System

Company need to manage employee's knowledge [Drucker, 2000] because of the knowledge become the key competitive advantage for companies [E. Murray Jennex, 2007]. Given the importance of knowledge, the knowledge needs to be managed properly. Knowledge management is not only an impact on the development of the economy, also affect the progress of information and communication technology, the knowledge will ultimately create new knowledges.

Knowledge serve as social capital for the success of the company [Don Cohen and Laurence Prusak, 2001]. Knowledge also the intellectual value for each individual or organization to improve the quality of the individual or organization, particularly the quality of the results of each work implement.

In conducting its work, often experience conditions in which each application of the procedures that work there can not be implemented in pure, but based on field conditions. Given the differences in location or work area can determine the method of handling is also different. Therefore, any differences in the handling needs to be noted as detailed in the documentation that will be used as guidelines, and will be used again for a job in the same area or other work in a different area with the same condition.

Method documentation of each company is different. Problems arise when companies need the latest information quickly and easily, the information changes that occur in every work pelaksanakan.

This explains that Facebook has become a social networking site (Social Network) the second largest globally after MySpace.
